Vidyaloke is one of Vana Foundation’s most significant initiatives. The Buddha’s wisdom lies at its heart and inspiring the study and practice of the Buddha’s paths to enlightenment, is its mission. Our ambition is to organise teachings and talks with increasing frequency and in different places across India. We also wish to provide continuing support and virtual resources to Shishyas and do whatever we can to facilitate their journey.

Our aspiration to share the Buddha’s Wisdom is vital for today’s era and the potential to impact people’s spiritual lives is immeasurable. The teachings, talks and interactions organised by Vana Foundation in its first few years have already made a marked difference to many from India and around the world.

Vana Foundation is also one of the main organisers of the Siddhartha Festival, an initiative of Siddhartha’s Intent India in collaboration with several Indian organisations. Another SII-VF landmark effort is ‘Lighting the Mahabodhi’, a first of its kind lighting project that is being designed, executed and offered to the Mahabodhi Mahavihara in Bodhgaya, Bihar. Our ambitions for Indian farming are being manifested through Vana Krishi, with a hope to create farmer networks, promote traditional farming methods and encourage rural life. Vana Krishi is a long-term commitment and it’s journey has only just begun from our home and base in Dehradun.

Vana Foundation will eventually need to be supported financially by Shishyas and participants, as part of their own evolving journey and in service to those making new beginnings. We will also need the support of patrons who believe in what we do. So far, our activities have been predominantly supported by Vana, with certain contributions made from friends and well-wishers.

We would be grateful for your financial support to Vana Foundation. Especially from our Shishyas and those that have attended Vidyaloke and other Vana Foundation events. Or simply, if you are genuinely supportive of our vision and activities.
